Region 11 Dog of the Year - Updated Standings

The Region 11 Dog of the Year points have been tabulated based on the essential data forms from each stake held this past season. After a decision by the Region's leadership to allow two additional dogs, here are the top five dogs in each category...


All-Age Dog of the Year
1. Kelly's Talkin' Smak - Sean Kelly - 423 points
2. Idaho's Clean Sweep - Steve Jones/S Twer - 322 points
3. Saddle Up Nonbelievers - Sean Kelly - 294 points
4. Highground Jax Jabba - C. Kunde/ L. Steinhouer - 176 points

Dog of the Year points calculation - Only dogs owned by region 11 club members and run in stakes hosted by Region 11 clubs were counted. Wins or dogs owned by people NOT in a Region 11 club were not included. 
Points for 30 minute stakes were based on 3 pnts for 1st place, 2 pnts fo r2nd place and 1 pnt for third place - multiplied by the number of starter in the stake. 
Points for 60 minute stakes were based on 6 pnts for 1st place, 4 pnts for 2nd place and 2 pnts for third place - multiplied by the number of starter in the stake. 
Cumulative points for each dog were then totaled and the DOY placements in each category determined by the total number of points for stakes in that category.

Region 11 Annual Meeting Scheduled

The AFTCA Region 11 2010 annual meeting will be held Saturday, June 19 at the Ramada Inn Mission del Oro (in the Pacheco Room). Address is 13070 S. Highway 33, Santa Nella, CA

Business meeting begins at 9:00 AM followed by awards and drawing for next season's trial dates. Lunch will be served.
